WELCOME
Christ Church is unashamedly Catholic in its tradition, its history and its worship. We look to the western Church as our chief source of authority in matters of faith and practice and doctrine.
Our main Sunday Service is the Parish Mass celebrated at 10.15am. The building is imposing; our liturgy is modern catholic with traditional ceremonial. Our congregation is open and diverse in terms of age and background. Children and young people as well as adults participate as readers, intercessors, sidespeople, altar servers and singers.
The Mass has been celebrated daily for at least 120 years since the church’s foundation. The church is open at times during daylight hours so that all may come in and find peace, stillness and pray before the Blessed Sacrament.
WE ARE A FORWARD IN FAITH PARISH
We are glad to be Catholic and in line with our foundation and history Christ Church PCC has passed Resolutions A, B and C pursuant to the Priests (Ordination of Women) Measure 1992. Link to Forward in Faith
A warm welcome continues to be extended to all who wish to join our worship whatever their views.
